Our story

Who we are

Kidz Therapy is an Auckland based multi-disciplinary children’s therapy centre that offers the full range of child and family therapy services under one roof.

We were founded in 2008 by Marie Kelly (Educational Psychologist). A former teacher and tertiary lecturer, Marie established Kidz Therapy after recognising the need for a centre which encompasses quality practitioners and continuity of practice. Her vision was to create a one-stop shop to support children, teenagers and their whānau.

Kidz Therapy originally started with just Marie. Soon after, Hilary and Helen joined her in a tiny office near St Lukes shopping mall. Word of our services got out and we grew so quickly that we moved to our current, larger premises in 2011.

Today, we have a comprehensive team that includes Educational Psychologists, Therapeutic Psychologists, Art Therapists, an Occupational Therapist, a Dance and Movement Therapist and a Speech Language Therapist.

We also are fortunate to have on board highly experienced consultants offering school liaison, dance and movement therapy, and ADHD and ASD support. The range of experience and expertise covered by the Kidz Therapy team means that we can help find the right solutions for any challenges life throws at your whānau.

KTL Tuition is part of the Kidz Therapy family. Marie estabilished KTL Tuition after frequent enquiries from parents for tutoring service recommendations. With her education and psychology background, she knew she could provide the ideal environment to help students achieve their potential.
