Suzanne has worked in a wide range of schools in her more than forty year career as a teacher. In that time, she has taught students from Year 1 to Year 13 and has a wealth of experience from working in primary, intermediate and secondary school settings in New Zealand.

Suzanne has a special interest in meeting the diverse needs of learners and her academic and work experience have provided many opportunities for her to understand and support the learning needs of gifted students and those with specific learning difficulties.

For nearly twenty years, Suzanne led a team of teachers in a school that focused on support for students across a wide range of curriculum areas. She has worked with teachers from a range of schools and has run professional development sessions to help teachers recognise learning differences and implement appropriate support strategies in the classroom.

Over the years Suzanne has worked with many psychologists and has a good understanding of psychological assessments. She has worked closely with parents and has helped them unpack the information in psychological assessments, as well as providing parents with suggested strategies that they can use to support their child.
